Charity bike build

Has your child outgrown their old bike or never had one? Would you struggle to be able to buy a new bike? Would you regularly use a child’s bike to cycle as a family?

Then our workshop is for you. We want to teach 6 children and their carer how to build a bike that they could take home and how to fix small problems that would relegate it to the garden shed. We’ll follow up with a free family confidence cycling session that can be booked at a later date and you’re warmly welcome to Kidical Mass rides.

We have 6 bikes for children 8-9 or 10-11.

This is a test to see if we should run this for other families so please only sign up if you’ll turn up and if you think you’ll use the bike on a regular basis. We’re asking for a suggested donation of £30, or whatever you can afford, because sadly people often don’t turn up to free commitments and we don’t want other children to miss out.

We’ll send some follow up emails over the next 12 months to see how successful the workshop was.

And if you decide that the bike isn’t for you, and is just gathering dust  or your child outgrows it then let us know and we’ll help rehome it.

If this sounds like you then contact admin@kidicalmassreading.co.uk for next steps and to reserve your space.
